Understanding the 'Last Contacted' and 'Last Activity' Filters

A guide about how the 'last contacted' filter differs from the 'last activity' filter

Updated over a week ago

Recruitly enables you to effortlessly track all activities, showing you when a record was last contacted and how. Before we delve into the details, let’s take a quick look at what is included in the "Last Activity" and "Last Contacted" scenarios.

Last Contacted refers to any interaction with a person, such as email, SMS, phone calls, calendar events, or manually logged activities marked as "call" or "email."

Last Activity includes all actions taken on the records, excluding edits or updates to the records themselves.

What is the Last Contacted filter?

The "Last Contacted" filter is a powerful tool that lets you sort records based on the date of the most recent contact, as well as the specific user who made that contact. This feature helps you hone in on the most relevant records across leads, contacts, opportunities, jobs, candidates, and companies.

With the Last Contacted filter, you can easily find candidates you’ve interacted with through Email, Notes, SMS, Phone & Events. This will also consider all activity types labeled as email/call. You can also search for candidates contacted within a specific date range.

What is the Last Activity filter?

The Last Activity filter allows you to search for leads, contacts, opportunities, jobs, candidates, and companies based on the timeframe of their last recorded activity. You can choose from predefined date ranges or set a custom range.

Located next to the search bar, the Last Activity Filter displays all items that have received activity updates within your selected date range but excluding edits or updates to the records themselves.

For example, when searching for candidates, you can specify a date range to view all candidates who had an activity update, such as being contacted via email or having an interview scheduled, SMS sent, etc.

Difference

Last Contacted focuses on specific interactions with a person, such as emails, SMS, notes, events, and logged calls or emails.

Last Activity, on the other hand, encompasses all actions taken by the user related to records, excluding any updates or edits made to those records.

Note:

The Last Activity filter does not include Recruitly bot activities like automated GDPR requests and portal activation emails etc.
