The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) harmonizes data privacy laws and regulations across Europe. It focuses on the protection of individuals regarding the processing and controlling of their personal data.

GDPR aims to give individuals more control over their personal information and simplify the regulatory environment for international business by unifying regulations within the European Union (EU).

To set up your Recruitly's GDPR configuration, please follow the steps below:

  1. General Settings:

    • Go to System Configuration and click on GDPR Configuration.

    • In the General Settings tab, you can enable or disable options such as allowing candidates to edit their profile, extending consent when they submit a CV, or disabling the reject button in the consent email.

    • Fill in the details for the Data Protection Officer, including Name, Email, Mobile, and Address.

    • Choose the email from which consent emails should be sent.

    • Specify the email for consent withdrawal notifications.

    • Set the default expiry for GDPR consent from candidates.

  2. Privacy Policy:

    • Click on the Privacy Policy tab.

    • Add your company's privacy policy either by providing a link from your website or by copying and pasting the policy into the available space.

  3. Candidate Wording:

    • Click on the Candidate Wording tab.

    • Edit and update the existing wording for consent emails to candidates. There are three sections: Consent Request, Consent Provided, and Consent Withdrawn.

  4. Contact Wording:

    • Click on the Contact Wording tab.

    • Edit and update the existing wording for consent emails to contacts. There are three sections: Consent Request, Consent Provided, and Consent Withdrawn.


By configuring these settings, you ensure that your Recruitly system aligns with GDPR regulations, providing transparency and control over personal data processing for both candidates and contacts.
