Sub-status feature can be utilized to categorize all candidates within each job in the ATS Pipeline.

Updated this week

The name of a status or pipeline in the ATS pipeline can be customized, but the total number of statuses remains fixed. Alternatively, the Sub-status feature can be utilized to categorize all candidates within each job in the ATS Pipeline.

How to Add Sub-status

Adding a Sub-Status from ATS/Job Pipelines Settings

1. Navigate to the System Configuration by clicking on the profile picture at the top right corner of the screen and choose the "ATS/Job Pipelines" tab or click here: https://secure.recruitly.io/settings/jobpipelines

2. In the Pipeline Stages section. Click on the “+Add Stage” button.

3. The ”New Pipeline Substate” card will open.

4. Enter the Substate name and confirm the pipeline you want to add the sub-status. You can also select the color and font color.

5. Click on the “Save” button to implement the changes.

Toggle on the "Default state", if you want to make the sub-status as a default in the pipeline/Status.

How to effectively use Sub-Status

Sub-status can be used in various scenarios, instead of creating a new pipeline/status. One can add sub-status as steps in the ATS Pipeline.

We have explained it with two examples below:

Example 1

We have taken an example for the "Sourced" Pipeline, as can be seen in the image below:

Pending - if there is no action taken, this can be the default stage.
No Response to Initial Calls - if there is no response from the candidate.
Contacted - if the candidate has been contacted.
Pending Feedback - if the feedback on the candidate is pending.
Positive - if the candidate fulfills the initial requirement for the next step/round.
Similarly, the reject reasons can be added.

Example 2

We have taken an example for the "Interview" Pipeline, as can be seen in the image below,

Here several rounds for an interview can be added as sub-status like First Round, Technical Round, Panel Review, etc. Similarly the reject reasons.
